Museum Barberini Website
Potsdam Follows its Art
In order to showcase its collection of East German art, the Hasso Plattner Foundation planned to resurrect Potsdam’s Barberini Palace, which had been destroyed at the end of World War II. They wanted to keep the citizens of Potsdam informed about this project and thereby develop a community of enthusiastic local supporters.
They needed an online hub where press and interested locals could obtain transparent information about the project and its progress. This would hopefully excite the community and get them more emotionally involved in this new addition to their neighborhood.
We designed a website that was elegant and down-to-earth, allowing the museum and its art to shine as the main attraction. A flexible backend editing system was installed so that the site could be easily updated to reflect progress on the museum construction and planning. The website is also responsive, functioning on tablets and smartphones.
