Like most tech companies, Transporeon likes to use animations to explain their complex services. eobiont created an explainer animation that is is unique to look at, interesting to watch and is both on message and on brand.
The story is told as a single line that travels from left to right. This line then transforms into various shapes as the story progresses.
As part of our ongoing work for the transport logistics cloud management company Transporeon, we were asked to create an animation explaining how their platform works and how it helps shippers and carriers. Explainer videos have sprouted like mushrooms after a rain these days. Most of them follow a very similar pattern in both look and storytelling. As a result they neither engage their audience nor successfully communicate their intended message. We needed to go in a different direction.
As with similar projects, we focused on three goals:
-1- Agree on clear marketing communication objectives.
-2- Create an engaging and memorable story.
-3- Develop a style that is unique to the company and transmits its brand identity.
For the visual style, we took advantage of the set of distinctive icons we had already created for Transporeon. These could be easily animated and were a core component to the company’s visual language. To contrast to this very flat 2-D style, we added real video footage and photography as a backdrop. This added context and depth.
The story is told as a single line that travels from left to right. This line then transforms into various shapes as the story progresses. This works as a metaphor for the shipping journey that is at the heart of their business.
Since Transporeon is planning on many more videos in different categories, we also created intro, title and end sequences that could be used with all videos as an added signature for the company.
